STRATEGIC CHALLENGES FOR SA (PART ONE)
The Minister of Safety and Security, Charles Nqakula, the
Chief Whip of the Opposition, Douglas Gibson, and the SANDF Chief Director
Strategy and Planning, R Adm Rolf Hauter, are three of the highly compitent
speakers who will address a symposium on the strategic challenges for South
Africa on 12 August 2003. This symposium will be presented by the Centre for
Military Studies (Cemis), which is a joint centre for strategic analysis of
the Department of Defence and the University of Stellenbosch, in collaboration
with the Institute for Strategic Studies of the University of Pretoria (Issup),
at the Pretoria Conference Centre, Hatfield.
