PROJECT CLIPPER (ASHRIDGE):
ALUMNI EVENT TO BE PRESENTED
IN SA ON 4 MAY 2006 AT ST
GEORGE HOTEL
The 4th May 2006 will see South Africa
hosting an Alumni Event at St George Hotel. This
occasion will be presented by the Ashridge
Management College.
The programme is meant only for those who
have attended any of the Higher and Senior
Management programmes, either in the UK or RSA,
presented by the Ashridge Management College.
This is a genuine alumni event to revitalize
rather than merely follow up the main programme,
and aims to refresh thinking about leadership,
share experiences in applying learning and build
a network of key managers.
The primary goal is to build on participants’
knowledge with new thinking and new tools and
techniques, and so offer a fresh incentive to
keep this learning alive.
It is vital to help previous attendees of the
Leadership and Management Development Programme
to continue to share their skills and capability
to make a difference to the organization. The
purpose is to add value, which will in turn have
an impact on the organisation. However, this
should not be misunderstood as just another day
off from work.
Inputs for the planning and organising
(theme, etc) of the Event can be forwarded to
this office by 17 February 2006.
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) of the United
Kingdom (UK) will foot the bill for the day,
which will include course administration, tea
and lunch.
It should be noted that participants are
responsible for the costs and arrangements
regarding transport and accommodation prior to
and/or after the Alumni Event.
Those attending should verify the costs and
the availability of transport and accommodation
with the provider.
A nomination received should be regarded as a
definite commitment, but not a guaranteed
selection.
A nomination form is attached to letter J TRG/R/103/3/2
dated 19 December 2005, which should be faxed
promptly to Joint Training Subdivision at (012)
355-5262.
The closing date for nominations is 3
March 2006.
A swift reply is also needed to enable the
organisers to keep to the deadlines negotiated
with the UK.
Enquiries: Mr D.P. de la Rey, Deputy
Director PSAP ETD Policy and Doctrine (012) 355
5880 or Mr Clive Pillay, Assistant Director PSAP
ETD Policy and Doctrine (012) 355 5454
