PROMOTION AND APPOINTMENTS IN THE SANDF OF
BRIGADIER GENERAL/REAR ADMIRAL (JG) AND HIGHER
The Chief of the SANDF, Gen Nhlanhla Godfrey
Ngwenya, on behalf of the Minister of Defence,
the Deputy Minister of Defence, the Secretary
for Defence, respectively Mr Mosiuoa Lekota, Mr
Mluleki George, and Mr January Masilela have the
pleasure of announcing the promotion and
appointment of the following Brigadier Generals.
Brig Gen S.L. Veldtman has been appointed as
the Director Military Personnel Utilisation (HR
Sup Cen) with effect from 1 March 2006.
Brig Gen V.R. Masondo has been appointed as
the Director Personnel Maintence (HR Sup Cen )
with effect from 1 March 2006.
Brig Gen C.A. Masters has been appointed as
the Director Service Systems (HRSS) with effect
from 1 March 2006.
Brig Gen G.M. Woco has been appointed as the
Director EO&AA Dev with effect from 1 March
2006.
Brig Gen A.D. Luck has been appointed as the
Director Renewal Services, Army Office with
effect from 1 March 2006.
Meanwhile, Col E.R.K. Mathibe has been
appointed as the Director Personnel Acquisition
(HR Sup Cen) and promoted to the substantive
rank of Brig Gen with effect from 1 March 2006.
Col C. Kruger has been appointed as the
Director Formation Management (HR Sup Cen) and
promoted to the substantive rank of Brig Gen
with effect from 1 March 2006.
Col M. Sitshongaye has been appointed as the
Director HR SVCS (SAF) and promoted to the
substantive rank of Brig Gen with effect from 1
March 2006.
Lastly, Col L.C. Ford has been appointed as
the GOC GSB Thaba-Tswane and promoted to the
substantive rank of Brig Gen with effect from 1
April 2006.
The Services/ Divisions are to establish
reporting date of the officers in their new
posts for HR Sup Cen (DMPU) WO1 E.J. Bosch is to
capture these officer posts on the SMCS.
The Services / Divisions are to confirm the
availability of funds to the HR Sup Cen (DMPU)
for the attention of Lt Col E. Barnard and to
establish where a geographical transfer will
take place. The officers’ households are to be
moved at State expense.
